Get Your Strategy On
I’m embarrassed to report that Indiana House of Representatives has once again voted down a measure that would have finally allowed the state to institute daylight-savings time. Here’s the latest story from the Indianapolis Star.
I can’t tell you how proud I am to be a Hoosier today (much sarcasm intended). Almost 70 countries throughout the world observe daylight savings, but Indiana still resists.
In case you were short on material for telling Hoosier jokes, I thought I’d just give you a little bit more ammunition. I’m hopeful, though, that sometime soon our elected officials will conquer the daylight-savings issue, so they can start thinking about paving our roads and getting running water to all our log cabins (again…much sarcasm intended).

I’m so, so glad we live in the northwest corner of the state, where we’re on Central Time. We stay with Chicago. Life is good.
It does get confusing sometimes when we’re headed to Granger on a Saturday for a visit. “Are they on the same time as us now? No? What time is it then…”

Unbelievable. No. Nevermind. It is totally believable. If it can snow on the last Sunday of April in Indiana, then anything is possible.

The bill passed late last night. Daylight Savings Time is coming to (the rest of) Indiana. :)

Fantastic! Now I won’t have to burn as many candles when I’m reading in my log cabin at night.
