Bloglines vs. Feedburner – Round 2
If you sense frustration, you’re very discerning. I’m experiencing another Bloglines malfunction with my FeedBurner feed. That means a number of my subscribers have no idea there are new posts on my site. Bloglines confirmed the issue was on their end earlier this week. I emailed them again to see what it’s going to take to correct the problem.
Unfortunately this might become a FeedBurner problem as well. If I have subscribers that can’t receive my feed, I may have to drop FeedBurner. Hate to do that, but the feed has been very unreliable with Bloglines.
Let’s hope the techies can get this ironed out. Anyone else using FeedBurner experiencing similar issues?

Hi Tony -
We’re obviously concerned about this, and definitely don’t want you to leave! Has Bloglines explained what the issue is on their end? Bloglines is polling my feed without a problem (it’s the largest aggregator for my readers), and we’re not aware of any wide-spread issues. That said, we do know yours isn’t the only feed affected by this issue on Bloglines’ end.
If you learn anything from Bloglines about what the hiccup is, let us know so that we can evaluate whether there’s anything we can do to help avoid it in the future.
Thanks for using FeedBurner.
Regards,
Rick

Rick, thanks for your reply. I’m still waiting to hear back from Bloglines.
Here’s a copy of the message that I just sent to Bloglines (my second attempt for today):
“I’m having problems, again, with Bloglines updating posts using my Feedburner feed. I had the same problem earlier in the week. Here’s what FeedBurner had to say in response to my message to them:
‘Your FeedBurner feed is currently up-to-date, but unfortunately it appears that Bloglines hasn’t polled your feed since early Friday morning (before the outage). It looks like it will take another request to Bloglines to get things back in synch.’

Can you help fix this again? Is there something FeedBurner needs to do on their end to prevent this from happening again? If not, is there something you can do to correct the problem? It’s problematic that this has occurred twice in one week.”
