Let Me Help Make Your Life Easier
Now that you’re starting to hear about this blog thing, several of you are running around the Internet visiting this site and then that site and then that site and so on. I know, because I can see the stats on my end from all the hits I’m getting through browser searches. That process takes time. Lots of your precious time. Let me help simplify your life.
Right now, I’m tracking about 80 different blogs, but it only takes me a handful of minutes each day. Rather than visiting each of those sites individually, I take advantage of Really Simple Syndication (RSS) to let the fun come to me in one location where I can scan only the new posts and ignore the sites where I know nothing has been updated.
With that in mind, here’s how you can easily subscribe to my blog:
1. Sign up for a "newsreader." I use Bloglines. NewsGator is another good option. Firefox has this built in.
2. Copy the text in red into your newsreader and subscribe to my feed:

If you want more options, just click the Feedburner icon on the top of the right column on my site, or you can go here.
For those of you that are already subscribed, please take a minute to make sure you’re getting the Feedburner feed I provided above. Stop using the old "Typepad" feeds. That will help me better track traffic and help you get better content.
Happy blogging!

People also might consider an offline/desktop news reader. I use NetNewsWire on my Mac. It’s a program that aggregates all you RSS subscriptions and gives you an application method of dealing with them. The web is great but it doesn’t have all the features a regular application does. You get drag and drop, automatic updating and other features by going application.
I currently have 94 feeds in my program with 174 unread entries.
I used to use NNW’s sister app MarsEdit to do my posting as well. I just like having a desktop app to do that kind of thing. Now I use ecto.
