Box Score for Weekend of October 22/23

Here’s the "box score" for this past weekend at Granger Community Church.

Music: "The Change Inside of Me" by MercyMe; "Live for Today" by Natalie Grant

Message: "Bullhorn" — Mark Waltz, Pastor of Connections, talked about our primary mission as Christians to love God and love others. Mark explained that, unfortunately, Christians have received a bad rap because too many times we’ve found it easier to condemn than to love. He explained how we sometimes put our "agenda" ahead of loving others and trying to develop meaningful relationships. Mark reminded us that our goal at Granger isn’t to condemn people, but to love people and remind them that "you matter to God."

Service Highlights: During his message Mark used a NOOMA from Rob Bell called Bullhorn. For those that aren’t familiar with NOOMA, they are short films that Rob has created to help tell stories about topics that we care about and want to talk about. Rob is the Lead Pastor at Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandville, Michigan.

Stats: 4,702 total attendance (3,668 adults + 1,034 kids); 0.0% increase from the same weekend last year

Percentage of weekend attendance by service:

  1. Sun 10:15 am = 32%
  2. Sun 11:45 am = 20%
  3. Sat 5:30 pm = 17%
  4. Sat 7:30 pm = 16%
  5. Sun 8:45 am = 15%

Final Notes: Next weekend we launch our new weekend series called The Family Channel where we’ll take five weeks to see what the Bible has to say about parenting.
