Publishing, Blogging and Tom’s Excellent Adventure
Here are some items that have caught by attention in recent days:
- I always enjoy thinking about the future. What if in the future there are no books? Seems like a good question for Michael Hyatt to be asking since he’s the President and CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers.
- In 1982, Tom Peters helped launch us on the search for excellence. Recently he shared what excellence looks like in 2005.
- Gary Lamb asked "Is blogging dying?" Technorati is tracking 23 million blogs and counting. About 70,000 blogs are added everyday. There are about 700,000 posts everyday. This is question worth asking, but I hope Gary and other leaders like him stay engaged.
- I’m glad to see that Dave Ferguson, Lead Pastor of Community Christian Church in the Chicagoland area has started blogging. Dave is a revolutionary–helping to blaze the trail for multi-site churches. (Thanks Scott.)
- Lead students? Here’s how to speak a teen’s language, even if you’re not one. By the way, I happen to believe these same principles apply to adults as well.
- Brian & Terry, it was great to hear your update on your book today. I can’t wait to place my Amazon order.
