The Granger groundhog stuck his head outside this afternoon, and, to the dismay of most people in the great-Granger metropolitan area, he saw his shadow. That in itself is quite a feat because the sun rarely shines around here this time of year. (I’m not exaggerating. Check out the 10-day forecast for yourself.) I’m not sure what exactly that means, but I think we are going to experience something like six more months of winter…or something like that.

Actually Tony, its six weeks. When the Granger groundhog sees his shadow this time of year it means six more weeks of ND basketball losses. Or it it overcast? I don’t remember.
Could you tell us again why exactly human beings live in Granger, Indiana?
I seriously think I’ve seen that same groundhog out by the lake on our campus! Seriously! Maybe the chipmunks have been eating that high quality birdseed that we put out in our bird area and it’s acted as a suppliment for them?
