Box Score for Weekend of February 11/12

Here’s the "box score" for this past weekend at Granger Community Church.

Music: "Reflections of You" by Krystal Meyers

Message: "I Was Made for More" — Rob Wegner, Pastor of Life Development, challenged us to consider "what’s in the box"–what’s the main thing. He walked us through a series of passages from the Ecclesiastes to exam the life of Solomon. Through that teaching Rob shared how Solomon pursued knowledge, pleasure, success and money. Of course, Jesus told us in Matthew 22:37-39 that we should "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." When we have God in the box, we also get better perspective on everything else that’s in our life.

Service Highlights: We took about five minutes during this service to give everyone an opportunity to complete an all-church survey. The brief survey is being used to determine who is showing up to our weekend services and where they are in their faith journey. We’re planning to do these surveys two or three times throughout the year to help measure whether or not what we’re doing in ministry is helping people take their next steps toward Christ.

Stats: 5,077 total attendance (3,995 adults + 1,082 kids); 10.3% increase from the same weekend last year

Percentage of weekend attendance by service:

1. Sun 10:15 am = 29%
2. Sat 5:30 pm = 23%
3. Sun 11:45 am = 21%
4. Sat 7:30 pm = 16%
5. Sun 8:45 am = 11%

Final Notes: The new PureSex series begins in two weeks. In case you’re wondering, we’re already starting to experience some buzz in our community about the MyLameSexLife.com billboard campaign. Gotta’ love that!
