PureSex Buzz
Just in case you’re wondering, the billboard campaign seems to be working. There has been quite a bit of buzz about in our community already. We couldn’t have paid for all the TV promotion we’re getting with the local news coverage. We’re praying, of course, that this buzz translates into more people coming to hear biblical messages on a very important topic in today’s culture.
I don’t know how long these links will stay live, but here are a couple of stories from the South Bend area about our upcoming PureSex series at Granger:
- Fox 28 South Bend: Billboards Raising Eyebrows
- WNDU South Bend: Controversial Billboard Stirring Drivers
- WSBT South Bend: Unusual Ad Campaign Attracting Attention
Also, it sounds like Fox News national may be picking up the story. Could be an interesting couple of weeks in Granger, Indiana!
UPDATE: Well, I’m starting to get reports from throughout the country that Fox News has picked up this story. A friend of mine saw about a 10-minute segment on Fox & Friends this morning on the Fox News Channel.

If one wanted to see one of these billboards locally, where would one find one?
I love it. It just shows you guys are doing something right!
Cuccu:
The one I have seen is at Main & Day Road in Mishawaka, facing west.
This is sweet – Biblical truth is provocative (just look at Jesus’ ministry)!
I have a great deal of respect for a church that is willing to go for it when it comes to reaching people. You will always have those that dont like it (gosh, have they read the story of Jesus?), but these days you have to find ways to communicate. I think its just as important to consider the method of getting people to your church as it is what you tell them. Keep pushing the envelope. BTW, the staff at my church love it.
You have been picked up in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I just saw it on our local CBS 10:00 news.
Way to go!
My folks from Detroit just called me a few hours ago to say that the story also aired on Fox 2 Detroit News @ 10:00…
Heh heh…in front of Hooters?
