Got to sleep in 15 minutes longer this morning. The alarm didn’t go off until 5:00 a.m. Have I mentioned yet that I’m not really a morning person?

We had a great experience today teaching the two workshops at North Metro. They were great hosts. Also got to meet a lot of very cool church leaders from the Southeast region. We had folks join us from South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Florida in addition to the great state of Georgia.

The highlight of the day, though, was finally getting the opportunity to meet Gary Lamb in person. I’m pretty sure Gary was the only person who wore flip flops to the workshops today. I was impressed. I don’t have handsome feet, so I can’t pull off that look. Gary, though, has stunning feet. It’s no wonder he’s had so much success planting Ridgestone. Gary has megachurch feet. There’s no doubt about it.

Tonight, I’m back in the hotel room catching up on the NCAA tournament. At this point, only 5 of my first 11 picks have been correct. This is something to keep in mind if you ever start to gamble on sporting events based on my predictions. In case you’re wondering, though, I’m projecting Duke to win it all. Actually, I made that prediction last April.

Finally, let me just confirm for the record that I don’t like traveling without my wife. I can make it a day or two, but after that I get mopey. I arrive back home tomorrow. Can’t wait.

(I miss you my girl.)
