Tim, I think the best resource I've ever read on hiring is the chapter called "First Who...Then What" in Good to Great by Jim Collins.

Anybody else have recommendations?

I am at a small church plant and paying outside leaders is not an option for us, thus, I was forced to "find" leaders in our church. It turns out that these leaders are very dedicated to our mission and vision (soft skills), even though they might lack some of the "hard" skills.

I look forward to the upcoming podcast. I'm in a new role in my ministry - I now recruit and hire leaders to reach college students. Anything like you shared is very helpful information to me and others.

Do you have any book or article recommendations?
