Easter is Better Than Sex

I’ll get you the official box score sometime tomorrow, but here’s the quick update on what happened this weekend at Granger. We had an incredible launch to the Unlocking the DaVinci Code series. We offered seven services–three last night and four this morning. A total of 10,262 people joined us this weekend. That’s the most people that have ever experienced services in one weekend at Granger. It’s the first time we’ve been over both 9,000 and 10,000 people in attendance. So, just to put your minds at ease, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ pulled about 3,000 more people than the opening of our PureSex series. Happy Easter!

P.S. — I’m going to have a big announcement early this week that should make a number of you very happy.

    Tony,

AWESOME to hear about that many people coming to hear about Jesus. We also had a record-setting Sunday, but just a few thousand less that you…like topping 400 people. We kicked off a series based on the show “24″, talking about how only Jesus can save the world.

How fast is your DaVinci stuff going to be up on WiredChurches.com? We doing a series around it in June, and we might as well take advantage of your great work…

Have a great Easter with your family!

Dude, may I just say that as awesome as those stats are, I believe your post’s title is even cooler?! :)
Seriously, I think I spit my drink across the room when I saw it!

Congratulations! Y’all are obvsiously not only working hard but experiencing a move of the Spirit.

We had a high day (since my arrival 3 years ago anyway), with 387. IN a town of 4500 in the boonies, this 149 year old church is on the road to recovery.

WOW, the big 10k! That is truly great. Take some time to celebrate, then tackle the next 10k.
