Top Feed Readers
Curious to know how others are reading my blog? I’m getting about 200 unique visitors per day directly to the site. Then there are about 450 people subscribing through feed readers and aggregators. Here’s how people are subscribing:
- Bloglines 42%
- FeedBlitz 11%
- Firefox 9%
- Apple Safari RSS 7%
- NewsGator 7%
- NetNewsWire 4%
- Other 20%
Are you seeing similar percentages on your blogs?

Interesting. You’ll have to fill me in on Bloglines? I don’t even know what I have? I know I have something though!
Interesting that Google’s Reader isn’t in there anywhere. It’s what I use.
I love your blog, Tony…here are my reader stats for my blog today…they vary. Sometimes Sharpreader is huge, other times it is non-existent.
Feedblitz 46%
Bloglines 27%
Safari RSS (OS X) 8%
Other Readers 8%
NetNewsWire 4%
Java-Based Reader 4%
BTW–Google reader is not counted on my site as well. Stats just are not available from what I am told.
how do you collect those stats? I’m using squarespace and can see various stats but no idea percentages on the different feed readers, although I do know bloglines is far and away the biggest percentage.
For May:
Avg. 266 unique/day
Newsgator 14.6
Xanga 13
Feedburner 10.5%
Bloglines 8.3
Other – 53.6
(with Xanga, I have 95 subscribers, since that is where my blogging adventures began. Whenever I update flowerdust.net, I update my Xanga as well but remove the comment feature, directly linking them back to flowerdust.net to comment)
Carl, all these stats are available primarily through FeedBurner.
