Summer Vacation Day Three

We had another great day yesterday in Litchfield–a vacation destination unlike any other. Here are the highlights.

  • The women and the kids headed off to one of the 10,000 lakes to swim.
  • Kayla decided to go fly a kite. She got it flying yesterday afternoon. She decided to tie the kite to the back deck. It continued flying through the night. It’s a bit breezy across the plains of Minnesota.
  • We were disappointed to learn that we’re going to miss the Watercade festival in Litchfield that begins on Thursday. The Watercade is celebrating 50 years of fun. I’m not sure what a Watercade is, but I’m sure it’s more fun than you should be allowed to have in Litchfield, Minnesota.
  • The Minnesota Open remained very close after round two. Tim shot an 85–a very respectable round. I shot an 84, though, which gives me a two-stroke lead after the first 36 holes.

That’s it for now. I’ll report back tomorrow on all the great times we’re having on the Morgan Family FunFest.
