Box Score for Weekend of July 22/23

Here’s the "box score" for this past weekend at Granger Community Church.

Music: "Keep on Shinin’" by Third Day

Message: "PLAY: Right where you are." — Mark Beeson, Senior Pastor, encouraged us to "invest and invite"–invest in others and invite them to church. Mark explained that quantity time produces quality time (I Corinthians 16:6-9). Tension or transition increases receptivity (Acts 16:25-31). And, investing requires intentionality (I Corinthians 2:2-5).

Service Highlights: The service included four stories (testimonies) of people sharing how they were invited to connect with Granger’s ministry.

Stats: 4,929 total attendance (3,915 adults + 1,014 kids); 9.2% increase from same weekend last year

Percentage of weekend attendance by service:

1. Sun 10:15 am = 28%
2. Sat 5:30 pm = 22%
3. Sat 7:30 pm = 19%
4. Sun 11:45 am = 18%
5. Sun 8:45 am = 12%

Final Notes: I didn’t have time to post the box score, but we were over 5,000 in attendance last weekend. In case you’re wondering, it’s very unusual that attendance would be this strong in the middle of the summer. Makes me really curious to see what may happen in a few weeks when school starts. I think we’re in for a fun ride this fall.
