10 Things to do While Vacationing in Granger, Indiana

I’ve had inquiries from people asking about what they can do when they come to the Innovative Church Conference next month. When they hear the church is located in Granger, Indiana, they get a little nervous. Actually, there’s a lot of fun stuff waiting for you outside of the conference if you have some extra time to hang out in the area. To help you out, here’s my:

10 Things to do While Vacationing in Granger, Indiana

1. Test your football knowledge and skills at the College Football Hall of Fame.
2. Explore the digestive system and the brain theatre at the Healthworks! Kids’ Museum.
3. Eat chocolate and learn how it’s made at the South Bend Chocolate Company’s Chocolate Museum.
4. Walk the campus at the University of Notre Dame and see the famous Golden Dome and "Touchdown Jesus." Go Irish!
5. Eat odd foods and pay lots of money for it at Tippecanoe Place or one of these other fine dining restaurants. (Don’t worry. We have normal people food as well.)
6. Take a 45-minute drive up to Silver Beach on Lake Michigan.
7. Shop until you drop at the University Park Mall (just 1/2 mile west of the church).
8. Play a round of links-style golf at the Warren Golf Course on the Notre Dame campus. The course was designed by Ben Crenshaw.
9. Take a stroll along the river and enjoy the brand new Mishawaka riverfront park.
10. Tour the home of Tim Stevens. I’ve included a satellite picture of his house to help you find it.
