Bono on Worship?

After hearing the session with Bono, one of my good friends asked me an interesting question. She asked, what do you think Bono would say about this conversation on worship music? Given his passion for music and people who are searching for hope and help, it’s an interesting question. What do you think he would say?

With a combination of quotes and paraphrases from the interview I just watched, my guess is his comments would look something like this:

**There is a lot of duality that exists in art. Controversial tension that is awe inspiring. That is the truth, the truth will set you free.

**Christian music is void of that tension. This leaves people outside the church left in a place they can’t relate. A place where the church feels strange. It’s a disconnect.

**”The church is not just responsible for the moral infrastructure, but the PRACTICAL infrastructure, too.”

[Where's the practical infrustructure in worship music?]

**”Church, you’ll be walking with some colorful people that will make you nervous. Chill out.”
