While a few hundred of us were wrapping up the Leadership Summit yesterday morning, about 150 volunteers from Granger were out serving our community. We partnered with the South Bend Housing Authority and Feed the Children for a food drop. Out volunteers helped make boxes of food and personal items, along with backpacks full of supplies, available to each family residence of the Monroe Circle Community in downtown South Bend. This was part of Granger’s "Second Saturday" serving and outreach program that gives people in our ministry the opportunity to volunteer on the second Saturday of every month.
