Here’s the "box score" for this past weekend at Granger Community Church.

Message: "FORWARD: Move along…one step at a time." — Rob Wegner, Pastor of Life Development, challenged us to consider how we can do the next right thing by both loving God and living others. Specifically, he also talk about the step of baptism for those who’ve recently committed their lives to Christ. He explained how baptism is an outward symbol of an inner commitment (Romans 6:1-4).

ClickService Highlights: This service was filled with highlights for me. My favorite, though, was the band’s cover of "Moving Forward." It really set up Rob’s message well to talk about how we need to continue moving forward in our faith by taking our next steps toward Christ…together with others.

Stats: 5,186 total attendance (4,090 adults + 1,096 kids); 11.1% increase from same weekend last year

Final Notes: Next week we launch our first-ever weekend series on dating. We’re going to explore what the Bible says about dating for singles, married couples and parents of soon-to-be-dating kids. We were inspired by Perry and NewSpring Church to consider this series. Hopefully it will be as successful for us as it has been for their ministry.
