Here are my thoughts and highlights from Amos as I continue my journey through the Bible:

  • "Do two people walk hand in hand if they aren’t going to the same place?" Seems to suggest it’s pretty important to clarify the vision/win.
  • "Look who’s here: Mountain-Shaper! Wind-Maker!…He brings everything out of nothing." God can do anything.
  • Life, purpose, direction, hope–I find it all when I seek God.
  • "You talk about God…being your best friend. Well, live like it, and maybe it will happen." I have to discipline my life before I see results.
  • "Hate evil and love good, then work it out in the public square." This is a call to not only embrace a personal faith, but to also bring my biblical influence to the public dialogue.
  • Life shouldn’t be about avoiding pain. Sometimes what’s best for God and me involves discomfort.
