Trying to promote a new weekend series or event at your church? It appears that Wednesday and Friday are the best days to email your audience according to this article from the ClickZ Network. We also need to make sure we aren’t trying to bombard people with our message, and we need to communicate a relevant message:
"It’s possible for frequency or the messaging to push subscribers to unsubscribe. Sixty-five percent of subscribers said they unsubscribe when a newsletter is not relevant. Fifty-six percent unsubscribe to newsletters with too high a frequency."
I think this principle works in other forms of communication too…including sermons. If we bombard people with a message they perceive to be irrelevant to their lives, they’ll unsubscribe.
