Box Score for Weekend of August 26/27

Here’s the "box score" for this past weekend at Granger Community Church.

Music: "Stay With You" by Goo Goo Dolls

Message: "REEL DATING: Hitch" — Mark Beeson, Senior Pastor, encouraged singles that were dating to consider their traveling companions rather than trying to find a trophy. With that, he encouraged singles to pay attention to their traffic patterns, their friends, their dates, their faith (Amos 3:3) and their parents (Proverbs 23:22).

Service Highlights: Jeff Petersen produced one of the most creative media elements we’ve ever had at Granger. His iDate media brought two iPods to life in a dating story filled with pursuit, attraction, break up and new found love. It was an amazing introduction to the topic of dating.

Stats: 6,152 total attendance (4,855 adults + 1,297 kids); 21.9% increase from same weekend last year

Percentage of weekend attendance by service:

1. Sun 10:15 am = 30%
2. Sat 5:30 pm = 23%
3. Sun 11:45 am = 22%
4. Sat 7:30 pm = 15%
5. Sun 8:45 am = 11%

Final Notes: A big focus for this weekend was to encourage people to follow through with their public profession of faith in Jesus Christ by being baptized. We’re planning our baptism celebration for Sunday, September 10. It’s one of my favorite moments in ministry. I can’t wait.
