Heading to Phoenix for MinistryCOM

I’m heading to Phoenix later today. It’s going to be a great trip. Here’s are just a handful of reasons why I’m looking forward to this getaway:

• I’m going to attend MinistryCOM and hang out with communications professionals from churches throughout the country–several who have become great friends through the years.
• I get to hear Kem Meyer, Granger’s Communications Director, teach a main session on reaching your "internal audience."
• Jami Ruth, my assistant and the person on our team running point on our day-to-day communications functions, will be teaching a breakout session.
• I get to go hang out with my friend Lee McFarland, the senior pastor at Radiant Church in Surprise, AZ. Radiant is one of the hippest churches in the country.
• I also get some hang time with Greg Rohlinger, the senior pastor at Palm Valley Church. Greg offered to take me golfing. He’s obviously heard I’m easy to beat.
• I also get to see palm trees.

It should be a great trip. I’ll keep you posted on the details of my excursion.
