That’s how many middle school students gathered at Oasis last Wednesday evening. Actually, there were exactly 553 students and over 100 adult leaders. No matter what way you cut it, that’s a lot of middle school students to have gathered in one room. I was in Phoenix last week when they gathered for the first time this school year. I’ll get to witness it for myself this week. Can’t wait.

In case you haven’t heard, I’m a big fan of student ministry these days for two reasons. For one thing, part of my role at Granger includes serving the student ministry staff and helping them soar in their leadership roles. Secondly, and more importantly, my daughter is now in student ministry. I, of course, only want the best student ministry possible for my daughter and her friends.
