New Media Player Launches

In the middle of all the conference fun last week, I failed to detail the fun new launch of the "media player" on GCCwired.com. Our communications and arts teams are taking video to a whole new level. It’s very exciting. Here are some of the new features:
- You can choose between various "channels" of videos.
- You may create your own "playlist."
- The video screen can be resized to accommodate your viewing pleasure.
- You can send a link to a video to your friends.
- The videos can also be sorted by series now.
- We’ve added a search function.
- You can link to last week’s service from the media player.
- You can view the "recently added" videos.
- You can also view the "Top 5" videos that others are watching.
- And, last but not least, you can link to series resources offered from WiredChurches.com.
I want to thank Kem and the communications team for knocking the ball out of the park. They were able to work with our ministry partner, Aspire!One, to significantly improve how we’re offering video on our site. Very cool.

Tony,
I really enjoyed your new Media Player, you guys do some great work. Do you package anything to sell for other churches or do you give it away like lifechurch.tv? Thanks man, love your blog, although the 24 thing got a little old. I loved your highlights from conferences that I do not get to go to. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. in Jesus

Chad, Granger and WiredChurches.com offer quite a few free resources for other churches. Those include:
> Free video streaming of the previous week’s services;
> Free podcasts of weekend messages and message notes;
> Free small group discussion guides;
> Free weekly newsletters with creative ideas from the Granger team;
> Free Simply Strategic Show podcasts talking about ministry strategy;
> Free blogs from various ministry leaders including our executive pastor, pastor of connections, communication director and student ministry team; and
> Free access to sample videos and music on the coolest video player around.
So, yes, we do offer quite a bit for free; however, we also charge for some resources so we can continue to pay for staff and technology to make these resources and training experiences available to other churches. In other words, because we charge for some resources, we’re able to increase both the availability and value of what we offer.
