Here are my thoughts and highlights from Hosea as I continue my journey through the Bible:
- "It will be their God who saves them, not their armaments and armies, not their horsepower and manpower." I love it when God moves and people are left to acknowledge, "It was a God-thing."
- "Don’t go around saying ‘God bless you’ and not mean it."
- God gets angry from time to time. That suggests there’s a distinction between righteous anger and anger that hurts people.
- "I’m after love that lasts, not more religion. I want you to know God, not go to more prayer meetings." Religion is what man has created to try to connect with God. Relationship is what God modeled to connect with man.
- "I’m The Holy One and I’m here–in your very midst." There’s hope in that statement.
- Sometimes we have to wait for God’s direction.
- "God’s paths get you where you want to go. Right-living people walk them easily; wrong-living people are always tripping and stumbling."
