Momentum at Granger
I’ve been on the road the last couple of weekends, but some big stuff has been happening back home. Here are a few highlights:
- We had over 6,000 people at our weekend services. That’s very unusual for a Notre Dame home game weekend.
- We’ve actually seen attendance increase in the second and third week of our current series, "Suburban Legends." That almost never happens. Typically the first weekend of the series has the most people in attendance and then it drops a little bit each weekend of the series.
- We had over 1,700 adults at the 10:15 service on Sunday morning. That’s a good thing…but it’s also a good problem. We only have 1,700 seats in our auditorium right now. That’s all we can set up until we expand our children’s ministry area. In other words, we’re at full capacity for that service.
- The church is getting excited about a big celebration that’s coming up later this month. We’re going to celebrate 20 years of ministry at Granger Community Church. I’ve seen a sneak preview of the videos for that weekend. Let’s just say Mark Beeson had a lot more hair 20 years ago.
