Dance Lessons, Rapping Pastors, Orange Palm Trees and Bad Christian Music
After spending six hours on the road today, I had lots of time to think about life. There’s plenty to go around in this list, so make sure you share some of it with your friends. It’s not nice when you keep it all to yourself.
- 78% of U.S. home Internet users connect using broadband. Remember the days when you had a dial-up connection?
- I’m an iPod owner, but I find this Microsoft Zune video to be very funny. Thanks Corey!
- What would you do if you were brave? Good question, Curt. I think I’d take dance lessons so I could move like Justin Timberlake.
- The Simply Strategic Show returns with a podcast on music and Granger’s U2 Christmas series.
- Gary Lamb and his crew make it on Hannity and Colmes on Fox News doing a rap to promote their Christmas Eve services.
- Fox News is also reporting today that blogging is going to plateau in 2007. Don’t believe everything you see on Fox News.
- I visited the campus of Northview Christian Church in Carmel, Indiana today. Northview recently opened a new student ministry facility that they call North Beach. It has orange palms trees near the entrance. I love it!
- We’re about ready to reveal some fun stuff at WiredChurches.com.
- The Meyers and the Morgans are going to hang out with the Hodges this weekend. We’re also going to check out a service at The Orchard.
- The Christian music channel on XM Radio really stinks. I had to switch back to the pop channel the other day when Michael W. Smith’s "Friends are Friends Forever" was thrown into the playlist. (XM…I have friends that can help you get this channel wired.)
- My DVR is recording the one-hour Christmas special of The Office. That makes me happy.

Zune v. iPod
I love my iPod and I see no reason I will ever switch to anything other than the iPod. Unless, of course, my vision comes true and someone actually finds a way to implant a chip into my brain whereby I just have to think of a song – a title, a lyric,…
If you think that the XM channel is bad at normal times, try listening on Sunday mornings. Their praise selection makes me feel like it is 1992 all over again!
