It’s Never too Early for Golf

I was downstairs in the basement practicing my putting today. Trying out the fancy laser putter that Dan and Jim from RedEye Golf sent my way. (Apparently, someone must have told them my putting needed help.) In the process of practicing, Brooke, my 21-month-old, showed some interest in what I was doing.

I went up to the garage and rounded up the shortest putter I could find. I think Jacob used to use it when he was younger. I showed Brooke how to line up the putt. With a little help, she wanted to do it on her own. She’s a natural. Now, one of the putters is "Daddy’s" and one of the putters is "mine."

It’s amazing how early in life we get protective about our possessions, isn’t it? Hopefully one of these days Brooke will learn it all belongs to Daddy.

I have to say that no one ever has sent me a club!

But the last golf tournament I played in I drew a lot of attention…the guys who take your clubs and get you set up…they all marveled at the clubs I was playing with…

One guy remarked he remembered playing with the same clubs

In the 70′s And this only a month ago…
