Elevation Church Moves to #1

Gary just lost his place in the lunch line. Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC just registered 44 folks for Unleash. In case you’re unfamiliar with the Elevation story, you need to know there’s something pretty amazing happening in that church. They’re only about a year old, and rumor has it they had 1,500 people attend their services recently. God’s up to something big.

So, Gary, what’s it feel like to be #2? Oh, I forgot. You’re probably accustomed to that since you’re a Georgia Bulldogs fan.

    Wow Tony, you have only been here a few weeks and are already making fun of the bulldogs. I like it :)

    Tony;

    since you’ve been following Notre Dame for all these years, it’s apparent to me that you have lost sight of what real football – Southern style – really is. Of course, being in Clemson, its not like you are now exposed to real Southern Football either..

    a quick tip that will make your stay in the south more pleasant: we don’t insult people’s mamas, or the hallowed Dawgs.

    affectionately – MC

    There is nothing wrong with liking Tiger Football. Several Clemson players come to NewSpring. My wife went to Clemson.

    But here is the deal. Go see Clemson play …THEN fly down to Athens with me and watch the Mighty Bull Dawgs show you true southern football.

    Just please don’t talk about the Irish or the Capt Cluck’s Chickens…Friends don’t let friends root for Notre Dame much less the Gamecocks.

    My youth pastor is in the closet digging out his tights right now after hearing about the Elevation & RSC rivalry. Said we had to represent Western North Carolina…say is that mustard based bbq you guys are talking about or is it the sweet tomato. I know the guys at my church are from Eastern NC and they like that Vinegar stuff. We might have to pack a few ham sandwiches or something, something!

    Uhhhh…the “mighty” Bulldogs that lost to…say it with me…VANDY…at HOME. Yeah, that’s gettin’ it done.

    If you want to get on board with a team that’s going somewhere, good bet to get on with Spurrier.

    C’mon, Tony…there’s still room for you!
