Box Score for March 4, 2007
Here’s the "box score" for this Sunday at NewSpring Church.
Music: "Grace Like Rain" by Todd Agnew; Check out the rest of the setlist on Lee’s blog
Message: "I Can’t Believe I Did That!" — Perry Noble,
Senior Pastor, shared how we need to get over our past. Sharing the story of Rahab from the book of Joshua, Perry explained that our identity is in Christ and not in our past. We have a new beginning. We are brand new. Among other things, Perry expressed, "If you don’t let your past die, it won’t let you live."

Service Highlights: At the end of his message, Perry gave people an opportunity to respond. While the band performed a song, he asked us to write down something in our past that we needed to let die. We left those pieces of paper on the floor of the auditorium. All of those pieces of paper have been thrown away never to be seen again. It was a reminder that as Christ-followers, we are free from our past (Romans 8:1).
Stats: 7,559 total attendance; 2,163 person increase (40.1%) from the same weekend last year
Final Notes: I’m looking forward to being at my first First Wednesday service this week. Then on Thursday, I’m going to be hanging out at our next Membership Class. If you’re interested in more details about either experience, visit www.newspring.cc.
