Weekend Recap

Here are some highlights from this weekend:

  • I always love to connect with church leaders–especially those leading cool churches I’ve been watching from a distance. Jeff Knight from The Rock Church in Monroe, Washington visited NewSpring this weekend. Jeff is a young guy (younger than me) who took over the leadership of The Rock after the untimely death of his parents seven years ago. He’s now leading a vibrant ministry near Seattle. Jeff has a great story, and I’d encourage you to begin following his blog.
  • I also had my very first visitor from Granger connect with me this weekend. Judy R. stopped by to say hello. It was fun seeing a familiar Hoosier face.
  • Michael let me know we hit 700 registrations for Unleash. Very cool!
  • I took the family to Greenville for the first time this weekend. We got to spend a little bit of time in the Falls Park. We also had dinner downtown.  Fun place. Can’t wait to spend more time there especially when it warms up a little more.
  • Mom called and said it was snowing again back in Ohio. In case you’re wondering, I don’t miss snow.
  • Ken created an incredible video opener for the "Girls Gone Wild" series. I love hanging around guys like Ken that love Jesus, are committed to mission of our ministry and ooze creativity.

It’s always nice to see a familiar face. My mom told me all about meeting you and your wonderful family.

    God Bless,
