Box Score for March 18, 2007

Here’s the "box score" for this Sunday at NewSpring Church.

Music:
"Pour My Love on You" by Philips Craig and Dean; Check out the rest of the setlist on Lee’s new blog

Message: "Poured Out" — Sydney Olin, Sherry Moorhead, Cherie Duffey and Beth Marshall, staff leaders at NewSpring, shared the platform on Sunday and talked about what it means to be poured out for God. The teaching centered around John 12:3 where Mary took about a pint of expensive perfume, poured it on Jesus’ feet and
wiped his feet with her hair. The women challenged us to consider if our lives are poured out.

Girlsgonewild
Service Highlights:
It was refreshing to hear the women give their perspectives on what it looks like to go wild for God. There were also some challenging moments where the women took the opportunity to encourage men to fully embrace their roles as husbands and dads. Those girls can preach!

Stats: 6,197 total attendance; 1,474 person increase (31.2%) from the same weekend last year

Final Notes: Attendance dipped a little this week because both Clemson and Anderson University are on spring break this week. NewSpring started out as a Bible study for college students. And, to this day, the college students still play a significant role. They’re missed when they’re away for breaks.

The ladies did an awesome job!
I was really impressed/inspired by Perry’s workout. I don’t quite sweat that much…and don’t really know if I would want to!!
Our church (www.uprisingchurch.org) service was down due to Spring Break as well. We sit right on the county line between Davidson (Nashville) and Williamson Counties…and both school systems were Spring Breakin’.
    Stay passionate!
