Box Score for March 25, 2007
Here’s the "box score" for this Sunday at NewSpring Church.
Music:
"None But Jesus" by Hillsong United; Check out the rest of the setlist on Lee’s blog
Message: "Nothing Left to Lose" — Clayton King, Teaching Pastor, talked about the woman caught in adultery from John 8:1-11. Among other things, Clayton talked about the religious people who accused the woman of her sin and were prepared to kill her. He said, "If you’re not careful, religion can become the most evil thing in your life." On the other hand, Jesus showed compassion and mercy toward the woman. He gave her a fresh start, but he also told her to go and leave her life of sin.

Service Highlights: This was my first time to hear Clayton speak. He’s truly a gifted communicator and obviously passionate about helping people meet Jesus. It wasn’t planned, but we had over 100 people accept Christ during the services on Sunday. Why am I still surprised when God moves like that in people’s hearts?
Stats: 6,816 total attendance; 2,079 person increase (43.9%) from the same weekend last year
Final Notes: Perry will be back to conclude the "Girls Gone Wild" series this week. After being off for a couple of weeks, I think he’s ready to say a few things…

Wow, I was wondering about Clayton and where he is was the other day. I used to live in Greenville beside Tim Bachmann and knew Clayton then. He was still in Highschool or just out and wow could he “bring it” then. I’m sure as he’s matured he’s an even better communicator. I’m so glad to hear that he is with you guys!
