OK, I don’t normally do this, but this particular post is focused on NewSpringers or those that live within the greater Anderson metropolitan area–including places like Starr and Iva. We’re looking for someone or someones with unique talents. This could be a "real" gifting or ability you’ve developed through years of practice. Or, this may be some completely bizarre "stupid-human-trick" sort of talent that only gets revealed at social gatherings after you’ve imbibed one too many sweet teas. Here are some examples of what we may be looking for:
- A gymnast who can do continuous back flips
- Someone who does martial arts and can break boards or cement with their bare hands
- A contortionist who can turn their body into a pretzel
- A break dancer that can bust a move
- Someone who can juggle small household appliances
This is a serious request. And, we’re looking for serious talent. Under the right circumstances, as an example, I’m pretty sure I can hang as many as four spoons from my face at the same time. Though that’s a very valuable skill to hone, it’s not the type of talent we need in this particular instance. We’re looking for a talent that when performed will make people say, "Whoa, that was amazing." The spoon trick just doesn’t get that kind of response.
If you have a talent or know someone that does, please email me. And, just in case you’re wondering, this all has to do with helping people meet Jesus. I’ll bet you’re dying to know how.
Is cat juggling acceptable in the South? ;-) It’ll be interesting to read where this goes.
