I have a new opening on my team for someone to lead our web team. I’m looking for someone who is engaged in the ministry at NewSpring and is looking for a new adventure. Together, we are going to redefine what web ministry looks like for the Church in America. If all you want to do is program or design web pages, this isn’t the role for you. I’m looking for someone with digital dreams who wants to reach people for Jesus using the web.
Among other things, this person will:
- Empower a team of staff, volunteers and companies to design, build, implement and maintain NewSpring’s web sites and internal ministry portals.
- Design a web strategy that matches our communication objectives and reflects the NewSpring brand.
- Stay current with online trends and technology and help identify opportunities for implementing new strategies.
- Have the ability to manage projects and navigate internal and external relationships to maximize our online presence.
- Have a driving passion to bring the NewSpring experience online to reach people who normally would not step foot in a church.
- Absolutely love Jesus and the NewSpring mission.
This is a huge opportunity. I need a dreamer. Someone who’s driven. An innovator. A team player. I’m looking for someone who can launch projects and see them through to completion. This person is a learner. An outside-the-box thinker. Connected in some form or fashion to an online social network.
Are you salivating at the chance to completely revolutionize the way NewSpring does ministry online? Then this may be your role. Email me and tell me why you’re the man or woman for this role and attach a copy of your resume.

I would apply, but I don’t come to Newspring because I’m afraid Perry would punch me in the throat.
Steve
I would apply, but have No experience in web design… love my blog, but don’t think it is close to web pages. But LOVE seeing Anderson County ROCKED by Jesus and His love that folks are showing to their neighbors!
And I’m not afraid of Perry… he is passionate, but gentle at heart!
Anyways, he only wants to “punch” the naysayers… and I DO NOT fit into that category.
Big Dreams, Tony. Big Dreams. A big haughty, trying to define what the web looks like for churches in America. Let me guess…You went to Oklahoma and were inspired by Bobby Gruendwald. I would suggest cloning him and taking his clone back to South Carolina.
I love every word of this post … wow, what an opportunity. I’ll make sure it gets passed around here. Wow.

Dang I wish I went to newspring. Oh wait – I can do this at crosspoint!!!!
Tony, I love your blog, too. I am not afraid of any of that stuff. I love tinkering on the computer, too. Im afraid that I am way under qualified to do this job. I would love to work with someone like you at NewSpring. I am a volunteer now in CM and I love the creative stuff. But my only qualitifications are that I am on board with whatever “our church”
can do in the future. I havent had a job in a five years and I am a stay at home mom. I will keep your search in my prayers. My blog isnt as good as everyone elses but give it a look sometime. http://www.blytheadams.com
Hey Tony, you could list your job opening in the new Job Lab from the Center for Church Communication. For a limited time listings are free, so why not?
Thanks for continuing to link me….I ate for free many times in Atlanta this week because of blogging…
Hope you are well.
I am a Newspring member and curious as to what your team is. I was excited when I first found out you were coming and read some of your writings, but have heard nothing about your coming or what you job is, although I know you are here.
Patricia
Patricia, I sit with Perry and four other guys on our senior leadership team. I also oversee IT, communications, web strategy, NewSpring Ministries (our ministry to equip and encourage other churches), and my new area of oversight is our multi-site strategy including our soon-to-open campus in Greenville. It’s a fun role, and I get to serve beside a very talented group of people.

Thanks for answering me. You are right it is an awesomely talented group of people. It is so exciting to see what God is doing and I can’t wait to see what will happen next!
