All-time Favorite Books on Leadership
Grant emailed earlier this week. We used to be neighbors. He’s one of approximately a boatload of college students that call NewSpring home. Grant was curious to get my recommendations on leadership books. Here are my all-time favorites:
- Now, Discover Your Strengths by Marcus Buckingham
- The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John Maxwell
- Good to Great by Jim Collins
- The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber
- 7 Practices of Effective Ministry by Andy Stanley
- Visioneering by Andy Stanley
- Mavericks at Work by William Taylor
For books like this, I recommend that you get each member of your leadership team a copy. Read a chapter at a time. Come together and talk through the highlights or each chapter. Then engage the challenging conversations about what needs to change in your individual and team’s leadership approach.
Don’t just read a book to read a book. Read a book to be transformed.
