Pre-Buzz Buzz

I’m counting down the hours to the Buzz Conference trip. Here’s what’s happening in my world:

• Jacob won his baseball game last night. That means I’m still in town to watch the all-star championship game tonight. I’m hitting the road for DC after the game. Unfortunately, that also means I’m going to miss the beginning of the conference. Someone save me a seat and take good notes.
• Just had a fun brainstorming session with a few peeps from my NewSpring team. They crack me up. Fortunately for you, they just added the extra flare to my blogging breakout on Friday morning.
• Got a quick update from the team on the launch of the NewSpring Ministries site. We’ve already had over 250 "orders" for free resources and event registrations.
• 
  We ate at Skins for lunch today. At one point, the girl waiting on us had about 8 hot dogs balanced on her arm. She said she’s never dropped one out in the dining area. Pretty impressive. Check out the picture.
• I’m really sad that I’m going to miss the music and fireworks Friday night. For those of you who will still be in town, check out the details on LiveFreeLiveLoud.com. And, as always, Perry is ready to roll with another incredible message for the Fourth of July weekend. This will be the first Sunday I’ve missed since joining the NewSpring team. Something tells me I’m going to be dealing with withdrawal symptoms.
• One last thing… I just recently found an agent. I used to think only famous people had agents. Apparently normal people like me need them too. "My agent" is helping me line up my next book deal. I can’t wait until I can share more. This is an idea that’s been rolling around in my brain for a couple of years. Here’s a little secret–you’re part of it. Stay tuned for more details.
