Carnival Food, Laughter and Flying
Just got back from vacation last night. Vacation was a blast, but it’s good to be back home. Here are some things that have been on my mind these last few days while I was away from my blog.
- I love our country, but I hate Fourth of July festivals. There’s nothing worse than standing in line waiting for the opportunity to put your kid on a dirty fair ride while having to smell carnival food.
- I really missed my ministry teammates. I get to work with some incredibly talented folks…and they also make me laugh. I need to laugh.
- Someone is going to have the unique opportunity of working in Perry’s office area. If you’re interested, you need to act quickly. Tuesday is the deadline.
- The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport rocks. I’ve flown out of a number of smaller, regional airports through the years including the Quad Cities (Moline, IL), Des Moines and South Bend. GSP gets you in and out better than any airport I’ve ever experienced. I’ll pay a premium for that convenience and quality service.
- I visited Buckhead Church this morning with several staff and lay leaders from NewSpring. I’ll blog separately about my experience, but I’m convinced more than ever that the multi-site strategy works. I can’t wait to launch our Greenville campus!
