Here’s the "box score" for this Sunday at NewSpring Church.
Music: "Wasted" by Carrie Underwood; Check out the rest of the setlist on Lee’s blog
Message: "Face to Face" — Perry Noble, Senior Pastor, used this service to share what he would talk about if he could sit down for a face-to-face conversation with each of us. If he did that, he’d tell us to (1) Embrace God’s purpose for your life (Proverbs 19:21), (2) You are way too valuable to sit on the sidelines (Ephesians 2:10), (3) God wants to use you to enlarge his Kingdom (John 1:41-42), and (4) God’s love is unconditional (Romans 8:38-39).

Service Highlights: After being away for a few weeks, it was good to see Perry on the platform again. Our three guest speakers did, however, knock the ball out of the park in recent weeks. As Perry mentioned this weekend, our attendance actually went up while he was gone.
Stats: 6,876 total attendance; 2,962 person increase (75.7%) from the same weekend last year
Final Notes: We’re preparing for an incredible fall stretch. Next weekend, we launch a new series to help people clearly understand what our lives and futures are like with and without Jesus. Following that, we’ll take five weeks to talk about our future as a church. (You’re not going to believe what Perry has to share!) After that, we’re doing the very first parenting series NewSpring has ever offered. I can’t wait to see how lives our transformed as a result of this next few months of ministry.

I cannot wait for the parenting series coming up. My homegroup (now dissolved) did a book and study on this subject and i can tell you it got heated on a few nights. You can talk about whatever you want, but when you start talking about a parent’s child, or the parenting practices .. you have a battle on your hand. I have been torn ever since with some of the things we discussed. Looking forward to hearing the bible back up of why, how, who and when i suppose you could say.
