Free Content. All the time.

I know. The posting has been slow in recent days. Let me try to catch up…

  • Remember when there used to be websites that required you to login and pay for access to content? Now, even the New York Times is completely free. By the way, my blog content has always been free. You get what you pay for.
  • Google launched its presentation solution. Now you have a free solution to compete with Microsoft’s PowerPoint. Of course, I can’t even remember the last time I created a PowerPoint presentation. Can you?
  • I spent some time with the guys from Oak Leaf Church in Cartersville, Georgia over the last couple of days. Oak Leaf is an amazing story. It’s a church plant that launched about 12 months ago, and they’re already hitting 900 people each weekend. Amazing!
  • In case you haven’t heard, we had seven interns join our staff team a couple of weeks ago. They’re all here for the fall semester. If you’re a college student and interested in future intern opportunities with NewSpring (we have openings for next spring and summer), email Sarah. And, if you have suggestions on how we should initiate the interns, I’m all ears.
  • We ended up with 127 nominations for America’s Most Innovative Churches. I’d encourage you to follow some of the links to the websites on the list. There’s some pretty cool stuff happening in churches across the country.

What presentation software do you use other than PowerPoint?
