We’ve Landed at Fellowship
Here are a few highlights from our trip to Fellowship Church…
- We made it to Dallas via Memphis today. I had no idea Memphis was on the way to Dallas, but apparently that’s how you get here.
- Tracy, the campus pastor from Fellowship’s Fort Worth campus, gave us a tour of the Grapevine (main) campus. That’ll be helpful for us tomorrow to see how the other locations compare to the main campus.
- We attended the 6:30 service. Ed is in the middle of the ineed2change.com series. Sounds like there have been a number of folks that have received Christ through this series.
- After the service, Pace, there arts pastor, arranged for us to spend some time with Ed. Among other things, Ed shared some of the experiences Fellowship has had with multi-site in the last couple of years. It was kind of these guys to give their time this evening.
- I must look like a huggable type of guy, because Ed did the old shake hands and pull in for a hug greeting. By the way, I’m guessing not many guys can claim to have hugged both Andy Stanley and Ed Young within the last 10 days.
Though this trip will be helpful for our plans for Greenville, I’m sad we’re going to miss the services at NewSpring tomorrow. Among other things, Perry will be sharing an update on GameTime. These are great days, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve at NewSpring.

Hi Tony
I read recently in the Outreach Magazine Stats that Fellowship is now running at 13,000 attendance and that they experienced 30% growth over the past year (which implies that they only had 10,000 last year).
Is this true? I was under the impression that they were about 20,000 mark.
And if it is true, did they suddenly lose a lot of people? This would be very disappointing but would also be interesting to find out why as I am sure others could learn from it.
Based on what I learned yesterday, I think they’re closer to 23,000. Looks like there was an error with the list.
Outreach Magazine will be redoing the article. Evidently there were many mistakes with other churches as well.
