Arrived in Cloudy California
We landed in San Diego yesterday. It’s cloudy, cool and clammy here. This is what I imagine Seattle to be like. I’ve grown pretty accustomed to the sunny South. I forgot what overcast days are like.
I’m out here at the National Outreach Convention with Emily and friends. Don’t worry–our kids are in great hands. Emily and I have learned, though, that it’s important to prioritize opportunities like this when we can get away without our kids along. So, once a year, we try to plan a vacation for just the two of us. She’s here to watch my panel session tomorrow, then we’re off to the beach for a few days. We believe pretty strongly that better marriages make better parents.
Oh, and there lots of palm trees outside our hotel window. Did I mention that I like palm trees?
