Last night I had the opportunity to participate in a panel conversation during the final session of the National Outreach Convention here in San Diego. I joined:

  • Ed Stetzer, Director of Lifeway Research (his parents live in Anderson, SC)
  • Kem Meyer, Communications Director at Granger Community Church (we used to work together)
  • Dave Gibbons, Lead Pastor of NewSong Church (NewSong is launching campuses throughout the world)
  • Michael Lindsey, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Rice University (he’s been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize)
  • Jonathan Falwell, Senior Pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church (he’s leading the fastest growing church in the country)

It was a fun conversation about innovation in the church. More enjoyable than the dialogue, though, was the opportunity to spend some time with a handful of folks that I really respect in ministry. If you’re curious to see what was shared, Jeremy detailed the panel discussion.
