Loving Laguna Beach
We had another wonderful day yesterday. Here are the highlights of what we’ve been up to on vacation:
- We attended a service at NewSong Church in Irvine on Sunday morning. NewSong is led by Dave Gibbons, one of the guys that joined me for the panel the other night.
- Emily and I watched the Chargers beat the Colts. The first half was crazy fun. The crowd was nuts.
- Yesterday morning, thanks to a blog tip, we visited the Rainbow Sandals store in San Clemente.
- On our way back to Laguna Beach, we stopped at the Mission of San Juan Capistrano. I’ll share some pictures in a separate post.
- We watched the sun set over Catalina Island from the main beach. Beautiful!
- Last night, we headed over to the Irvine Spectrum Center for dinner and a Barnes & Noble visit.
We’re going to lay low today, because tomorrow is travel day. It’s been fun, but we miss our kids and our home.

When we lived in Orange County I used to take the kids to Laguna Beach every Christmas day. If I remember right, we used to park on Ruby street and walk down the stairs to the beach. I miss those days. E Texas scenery gets boring faster than CA scenery.
Did you say hi to my sis? She works at the Apple store at Irvine Spectrum. Til tomorrow, anyway. And, if you haven’t already, you should walk the beach behind the Montage – it’s GORGEOUS!
