Puzzles, Paris and Truck Stop Surprises

Vue
Just got back into town after a trip to Ohio to see family. Here are some highlights from our time away…

  • I only do crossword puzzles when I’m in Ohio visiting family. I can’t explain it. There’s something about family trips that draws me in to newspaper puzzles.
  • Seriously…I’m starting the exercise program on Monday.
  • We saw our first (and I’m hoping last) snow of the winter while we were gone.
  • Last night, I treated my family to dinner in Paris and we lodged in London…Kentucky.
  • In case you haven’t heard, Clemson beat South Carolina last night.
  • My apologies to the fine people of Missouri and West Virginia, but I’m not really interested in watching a bowl game between your two teams to decide the national championship. It might help if I really thought these were the best two teams in the country. Only the Missourians and West Virginians would dare make that argument.
  • You won’t believe who I ran into at a truck stop in eastern Tennessee today. I’ve included a picture with a clue. That should give it away, but here’s the link to her blog (which you should be reading).
  • Fun service at NewSpring this evening. I’ll fill you in on the details sometime in the next couple of days.
  • In theory, DirecTV will be installed this week. I feel like I’m finally joining the high-def world…and saving a boatload of money doing it.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. It’s good to be back.
