The ink is dry on the official agreement that’s going to lead to my newest book. Here’s the scoop…
- The new book is tentatively titled Killing Cockroaches and 100 other Stories and Strategies for Leaders.
- I’ll be partnering with B&H Publishing Group on this project. B&H is best known for publishing books my Beth Moore and Henry Blackaby. You may also be familiar with books written by Ed Stetzer, the Director of Lifeway Research, including his recently released Comeback Churches: How 300 Churches Turned Around and Yours Can, Too.
- I’m now on the clock to prepare the initial manuscript by May. The book will probably hit the stores and Amazon sometime in 2009. (Getting a book published takes a long time.)
- The book will be loaded with stories about innovative leaders and churches throughout the country. Don’t be surprised if you’re mentioned.
- I’ve already finished about 10% of the initial manuscript. There’s a lot more writing to go, but I’m really pumped about this project.
I’ll keep you posted on my progress. In the mean time, keep sending me your stories. You might find yourself in print.

Congratulations, Tony! That’s news worth celebrating.
Forgive my sorry line of thought. . . I smiled as soon as I saw the title to your book. My mind immediately wondered, “Is he referring to pastors or the congregation?”

Tony,
Way to go man. Can’t wait until the book is out. I hope there’s some stories on how coffee plays an important role in doing ministry.

Great news Tony. The title alone ought to make people intrigued! Praying for you as you seek more than just to meet publisher’s deadlines.

There once was a pimp named Tony, who never served up bolony, As he put pen to paper, no more need for a snow scraper, I can tell you this guy isn’t a phoney.
I just made that up.
Hey, could you pass this on to your student team?

Well, I just had allergy tests done a few weeks ago, and found out that I have no food allergies, but am DEATHLY allergic to cockroaches. In light of your book title, I’m wondering what it all could possibly mean?…..

Killer title. Soooo Seth Godin!
Todd, yes I agree there should be a book about coffee and ministry. Perhaps it could be called ‘How coffee enhances the daily ministry grind’

I’m jazzed about this book Tony. You have many great things to offer the church, and I know this book will be huge for leaders everywhere.
