NewSpring Christmas Update
Feel free to ignore this if you don’t live in the Upstate region. If you do, here’s an update on Christmas services at NewSpring.
- We’ve added two additional services to accommodate the crowds we’re expecting next weekend. That means there will be six identical services–the four regular Sunday times and two new services on Monday (Christmas Eve) at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.
- We want as many people as possible to have seats in the auditorium. Because of that, we’re offering free tickets for the first time. There’s been such an incredible response that we’ve already distributed all of the tickets for the first three Sunday services. We still, however, have seats available for the remaining three services.
- It’s not too late to get your free tickets online.
- Your kids, fifth grade and younger, don’t need tickets.
- Perry and the creative arts teams are preparing a worship and teaching experience unlike anything we’ve ever done at NewSpring. You won’t want to miss it.
- I want to encourage you to invite your friends and family. They won’t be disappointed.
I’m looking forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus with you next weekend! I promise you–it’s going to be "Out of This World!"
UPDATE to the Update: All of the Sunday services are now at capacity, but we still have room in the two Christmas Eve services. This is going to be fun!

Tony, I’m seeing this concept of tickets to attend a Christmas service a little more often. And I understand its principle: you want to have a good idea of how many are going to attend and now have massive overcrowding of services.
But my question is what happens if someone does come to one of those Sunday services w/o a ticket? Are they turned away? Or what if a family has tickets, but a friend drops by the house from out of town…and wants to come along to church with them, but the guest doesn’t have a ticket?
I’m just really curious. Thanks.
Blake, no one will be turned away. We’ve communicated that to the church as well. But, obviously, there’s a better likelihood that everyone will get a seat if we use tickets.

Makes sense. I didn’t figure Newspring would turn anyone away. I, myself, don’t have any problem at all with offering tickets and such. But I’ve seen come under criticism before. Thanks for clearing that up. I hope your church family and your own family have a wonderful Christmas!
