Lots and Lots of Lumens

Projector
We have lots of fun surprises coming this weekend, but one of the investments I’m most excited about is the installation of two, brand-spanking-new projectors for our Anderson campus auditorium. If you get geeked about this sort of thing, we’re installing Barco FLM HD18 projectors. Our friends at Clark Pro Media tell us these bad boys are the bomb.

I almost hate to admit this, but these are the same model of projectors that were used at the Country Music Awards broadcast last month. In other words, they’ve been a little bit country, and now they’re going to be a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.

Yes, this is an investment, but it’s going to improve the quality of the media in our services. We’ve made this investment because we recognize that we live in a media-driven culture. Whether we’re willing to admit it or not, our lives revolve around the television, movie and computer screen. In order to effectively share the Gospel message, we have to embrace the language that people are speaking. For now, that language is video.

You may or may not agree that the video screen is the stained glass window of today’s church. All I know is it’s one of the primary ways we see God connecting with people’s hearts at NewSpring. For that reason, I’m excited to see these new tools get put to use.

    AMEN!

Jesus didn’t come and draw pictographs on cave walls; he reached the people of His day *through* their current culture.

It’s so great that our church recognizes that Jesus created all things and *through* all things His name can be glorified!!

    I love my church!!!!!

Those are indeed some bad boys, it appears. How much does a set of 3 cost for a lucky church named NewSpring?

Video is incredibly important to today’s church. We’re just dabbling at my itty bitty church, but we’re working on it.

    God bless ya, man.

First of all let me say i’m a tech geek and these projectors are some of the best, but as a NewSpring member I hope that Gametime pledges didn’t pickup the bill. Love NewSpring, and what you guys do. Imanu’el
