Just stumbled on this post via the "top posts of 2008."

I saw this performed at Northpoint, not sure if that was before or after Buckhead.

Short version of the story: it was my first time back in a church in well over 20+ years. I had recently decided give Christianity a "second look" based on some things that could only be explained as miracles that happened in my life.

My then girlfriend, now fiance', soon to be wife, this May, is a regular attendee at Northpoint and the person through whom the Lord spoke that finally got me to listen. Showing up to a what was, essentially, a rock concert on my first day "back" was nothing short of amazing. See, I'm a BIG fan of rock music and, while not a major Saliva fan, the notion of Church being a "RAWK SHOW" made the Lord's will even more obvious. It was as if that show and the sermon that Jeff delivered that day were custom tailored for me.

I left the service crying like a small child, which is amusing given that I resemble an MMA fighter, and haven't looked back. From that point forward I've dedicated my life to walking in the footsteps of Christ and have asked God to change my heart.

I stumble, frequently, but I know that through the systems God has put in front of me --most importantly my loving, caring, beautiful bride-to-be-- that I can pick up and keep moving.

All praise to God and RAWK ON!

Little much for me...........but I am "over the hill" I suspect my grown sons will love it.

from an artistic perspective i love it. it's theater and this component is very well done.

but i was captivated to watch how the crowd responded.
sitting. watching.

it really was a show they were being welcomed to and if you are into show, this was a good one.
