Perry’s Face
The Willow Creek Association just released their most recent issue of Willow magazine. Perry was identified as one of six "Faces to Watch in 2008." Honestly, Perry is a great leader and all, but…let’s just put it this way…some faces are easier to watch than others.
That aside, I’m honored to serve under Perry’s leadership. Here are some attributes I really appreciate about how he leads:
- He’s hyper-focused on following God’s lead for himself and the church.
- He’s constantly trying to learn from other great leaders inside and outside of the church.
- He’s committed to empowering other leaders around him.
- He understands the value of team.
- He’s real–on the platform, on his blog and everywhere else.
- He dreams big.
- He loves his wife and his daughter and puts them before the ministry.
- He’s honest about his strengths and his weaknesses (that was modeled again today).
- He’s a sharp-dressed man.
There’s no question that God has gifted Perry in unique ways. For that reason, I really do appreciate the privilege to be a part of the NewSpring team. And, with that, I will certainly be one of those people that’s watching Perry’s face in 2008.

How about I just watch all the great stuff God is going to do in and through him rather than his face?
Isn’t great to work with people you really respect!!!
